THERMAL AND NIGHT VISION BINOCULARS
Thermal and night vision binoculars are devices that allow observation in low-light conditions. They can be used by individual infantry soldiers or drivers and form an important component of infantry unit equipment. They enable early threat detection and long-distance observation.
The NPL-1T thermal binoculars are among PCO S.A.’s most advanced products, allowing observation even in poor visibility conditions, such as smoke or fog. Their ergonomic design and low weight make them well-suited for field operations. The thermal binoculars allow image recording and can be integrated with other devices. The thermal image is displayed on two OLED screens or can be transmitted via a digital video output to an external headset display or monitor. The NPL-1T allows still image capture in internal memory with the option to transfer files to a computer. This functionality enhances situational awareness and enables better coordination of battlefield activities.
The NPL-1T binoculars are compatible with military GPS receivers, displaying geographic coordinates and time on screen. Additionally, the NPL-1T enables approximate range estimation to a target with a height of 1.75 m. The primary power source is four AA batteries, but the binoculars can also be powered from an external source within a wide voltage range.
The design solutions and advanced thermal image processing methods used in the NPL-1T binoculars allow for exceptional thermal image quality while reducing weight and power consumption.
Tailored to Requirements
With additional accessories, the device can be adapted to meet individual customer requirements. The NPL-1T thermal binoculars are used by the Polish Armed Forces and have been praised by both users and experts. In 2019, at the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO), PCO S.A. received the DEFENDER award for the NPL-1T thermal binoculars. In 2018, the Association of Suppliers for Uniformed Services awarded the company the State Security Leader prize for developing the NPL-1T binoculars.
Drawing on its extensive experience in designing and manufacturing thermal imaging devices, PCO S.A. is expanding its product range. Devices such as thermal imaging binoculars can form the basis of equipment used, for example, for body temperature screening, particularly useful during the Covid-19 pandemic.
