On the 17th of May the Information Day on European Public-Private Partnership in photonics took place in Bumar PCO S.A. The meeting was organised by Bumar PCO S.A. in cooperation with the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and Polish Technological Platform for Photonics. The honorary patronage was held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry ofEconomy.

On the 17th of May the Information Day on European Public-Private Partnership in photonics took place in Bumar PCO S.A. The meeting was organised by Bumar PCO S.A. in cooperation with the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and Polish Technological Platform for Photonics. The honorary patronage was held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Economy.
The meeting took place within the cycle of meetings informing of EU new policy, including Horizon 2020 program.
The meeting was opened by the representatives of the conference hosts – Stanisław Natkański, Member of the Board – Technical Director of Bumar PCO S.A. and Mirosław Grudzień – Vice-President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology.
The speakers included: Thomas Skordas – the representative of the European Commission and Michael Wale-the representative of the European Technology Platform for Photonics. The presentations were also delivered by the representatives of the ministries which held honorary patronage over the event: Piotr Kępski from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Jarosław Jaroszewicz from the Ministry of Economy.
The meeting included the panel discussion in which the representatives of public finance institutions, enterprises operating in photonic branch and research institutes took part. The discussion was led by Prof. Małgorzata Kujawińska, Vice-President of the European Technology Platfom for photonics.
The following issues were discussed during the panel: the assessment of the mechanisms of the creation of PPP projects in Poland, the participation of Polish partners in the European PPP projects, mechanisms encouraging Polish entities to participate in European PPP as well as growth perspectives of Polish photonics market (including opportunities to boost the share of optics and photonics in the creation of Polish GDP)
The invited guests had the opportunity to visit the production line andproducts testingfacilities of Bumar PCO S.A.
