“On Friday, November 5, a mixed martial arts gala titled “Battle for Independence” was held in Łódź. It was organized by the Armia Fight Night Federation [Federacja Armia Fight Night], with Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa [Polish Armament Group – PGZ S.A.] acting as the sponsor and patron of the fights involving soldiers. It was the third such sporting event with the PGZ S.A. as a partner.
This time there were ten fights held in the octagon in various categories, including five involving soldiers of the Polish Army. – We support the initiative created by the Armia Fight Night Federation together with the 18th Mechanized Division, because PGZ S.A. has been and wants to be close to the army in every area of its activity. We know that bravery is one of the qualities necessary for warriors – and that’s what soldiers are – that’s why we support the organization of subsequent galas. For us it’s also a good opportunity to show a wider range of products, which are used by soldiers in their everyday service – said Bogdan Borkowski, Vice President of PGZ S.A. During the gala, PCO, Maskpol and ZM Tarnów presented their products, companies which offer modern technical solutions dedicated to the Polish Army. Among the presented elements of equipment and firearms were, inter alia, rifles from the Modular Weapon System family, HP-05 helmets, tactical waistcoats and a whole spectrum of night vision and aiming devices.”
